So, what do you guys think of this release from Belgium? I pretty much like it, although we've produced better stuff through the years.
Anyway, my copy probably comes from a fanclub member as it is autographed and comes with an insert (the logo as sort of a poster) and a fanzine. I'm not saying this to brag, but the fanzine includes the lyrics for the MLP, a studio report and an interview (in Dutch). Maybe someone is interested to have the full lyrics, so I can scan it. Or I'll scan the whole thing, since there some people who speak Dutch on this forum. |

although I'm not old, I remember Luc Torfs. I met him at a record fair.
I was thinking of contacting the guy again.
Can anyone pm me his contact info? I seem to have lost it. Thanks! |

| The name rings a bell, but can't put a face to it... Did he have a shop/mailorder or something like that? |

The danish review:
TRIAL was founded after Patrick de Wilde (voc), Dirk De Strooper (guitar) and Gunther Poppe (bas) left the band METALBREAKER. They didnt wish to quit so they searched for a good drummer and a guitarist. Those were found in Maro Vereecken (drums) and blabla, and TRIAL was born.
In the beginning they played punk but decided to start playing HM. Angus J T didnt wish to play that kind of music and quit TRIAL. On the 14th of May 1983 Kris VDV joined, he came from the rock band HAWK. In that band he was the lead guitarist. So now things started to happen. All the old material was exchanged for lots of totally new songs. Right now TRIALs music can be described as speed metal, but one can also find melodic songs. They are one of the better new bands in Belgium. During the summer of 1985 a mini album will be recorded entitled Scream for Mercy, which is due for release in september. The songs on the MLP (titles...). The average age in TRIAL is 18 years, so these are some young powerful knights. |

Levi, you bad boy, sneaking Wesley's copy from under my nose
Must say I wanted it more for the magazine, completist reasons. Not very much into this LP myself, the rehearsal tracks on youtube are actually a lot better imo. I think I also have some rehearsal/live stuff that I could upload (not sure though). |

@Metalipeiklo: thanks!
@ Humus: be quick or be dead! Yeah, it's a nice package: autographs, insert, fanzine, vinyl/sleeve very good. Hope for him he doesn't get sorry for selling it. It's nice to have, but as I said, we have better records. Think the high price of this one is more a reason of rarity than quality. Would never pay 100 euros for it though |

| Seriously, this IS a great Euro-Metal record, several notches above for instance the Gama/Scratch rec.-average. Would be awesome to hear that live demo if anyone has it.. |

| Very nice album. What i like most in TRIAL are the vocals: Raw and throaty the way they should be! No stand-out tracks as far as i am concerned, but it's miles above average as a whole. |

I really don't see what's the connection with Exciter and Trojan that you just mentioned. It's the very last thing that Trial would remind me.
Belgium had Ostrogoth. 'Nuff said. |
