| Click on the pics below the cover artwork,it seems to exist two different versions of the black vinyl(one of them has white label, but maybe it is the test pressing...),while the other three versions have pink label... |

can't believe there are 100 test pressings..
got the black vinyl with red label so the white ones are probably test pressings though, musik-sammler.de claims the splatter ones are 200..
however, am sure Steffen can confirm |

Stefan in both online store and internet auction claims is limited to 100 copies so I don't think there are 200 splatter.
Unless the one is Green with white splatters and the other is white with green splatters?? |

I remember all the shitty noise around the second pressing on the Brocas Helm - Defender LP and people complaining about why Greg made a second pressing to an item listed as "limited".
But no-one seems to care about this second pressing, to an item also listed as "limited"

The difference is greg posts here so we are able to tell him what we think.
Bring on the HRR guys and I'll tell them the same thing. This is a bullshit tactic that is morally wrong. All in the name of capitalism. |

There are a few differences though:
Crystal Logic was originally issued on Black Dragon and Roadster records. High Roller has no affiliation with these labels whatsoever. Brocas Helm was reissued on the same label that released the original.
Time between issue/reissue is also different. Crystal Logic was reissued some 25 years after the original came out, the Brocas Helm reissue was out just a few months after.
I'm not saying one way is more morally acceptable than the other, just pointing out the differences. |

No, i'm not talking about the whole reissue....
I'm talking about the NEW 500 copies that are going to come now, after the first 1000 copies. |

You forget that not all people are ''collectors" and they just want to get a copy in vinyl. The 1st pressing of green and black vinyls was sold out in less than 1 month!
The problem you have, and I have the same problem, is that we want to own all pressings! I think that the truth from the eays of the dealer is somewhere in the middle!
Regarding Greg, I believe he made a second pressing for more "just fans" to buy the album in vinyl format, but he made it splater strange coloured and not black, for "collectors" to buy it too! I still haven't bought the 2nd pressing but I will surelly do!

Buying multiple copies of the same album may help keeping some of these companies in business, which means more cool stuff brought out in the public in hallowed vinyl form. If you don't like it, don't buy it!
What is it the "collector's" are afraid of? The second-hand value of an album or the fact that more people are enabled to enjoy a copy of a great album on their turntable? Buying stuff for the sake of boosting your self-importance and uniqueness seem very "poser" to me.
Hmmm... having my period. am I? |

I don't think that there are people thinking like this.
The reason I personally buy multiple copies has a lot to do with the second-hand price of the record but it has nothing to do with making profit! I don't like that hell with vinyl price tags and curbing public with very high price tags on lists which reflects to ebay. I think trading is fair enough and I prefer to do it. |

| Read here first before continuing the discussion about re-pressing "limited editions". If you still feel the need to comment after doing so then I will split the two threads and make a seperate one specifically for this issue. /Mod |
