I came across a mention of these guys while going through a mail order today, and this is one of those cases where name + nice cover + mention of anthology = curiosity.

Italian Heavy Metal from the 80s.

I couldn't really find any real info on the internet, as that site of theirs doesn't really convince me. Can anyone please shed some light in this matter?

Cheers!

Well, it's the band where "guitar hero" Alex Masi started out. I've only heard/owned their 2nd mini, "State Of Rock". Just plain, guitar-oriented, unremarkable Heavy Metal. Great opening track but that's it. Their s/t debut MLP is on my need-to-hear-list though, since I'm kind of an Italian Metal-buff.

Well, I listened to some stuff off the first demo/ep, and liked it, certainly not a new revelation but I liked it and got curious about the rest Smile

"State of Rock" is a decent EP. It's been on my want list for some time now.

All the stuff has been reissued on 2 cd by Heart of Steel Records(http://heartofsteel.nlz.it/);the first one(The Metal Years 1982/1985 includes their first two mini lp,self titled debut called Dark Lord and the second State Of Rock and also some unreleased material from 1984 sessions),the second cd(The Nighttime years,1986/1988)includes the full lenght album It's Night time and as bonus contains 8 tracks live recorded in 1987;notice that the original sound of the band was obscure and epic on the the first mini lp,then they changed singer(Gable Nalesso died for HIV,R.I.P. Crying or Very sad ) and moved onward a more catchy sound(mini lp State of Rock),in the 3rd Lp,Alex de Rosso(future gtr on tour with Dokken)took place on guitar(in the meanwhile Masi moved to USA for his solo career)and It's night Time is still a good album, but in the vein of Ratt/Dokken sound.
