Ugh.. Fireclown and Warrior = very disappointing stüffs.
10"s are a pain in the ass storagewise, but TLOT took back its cool from the garagepunksters if you ask me. Ah well, it's still a must-buy. |

I like Fireclown! Too bad it comes without a picture cover. The Scarab 10'' looks much better.
I know this is off-topic, but how do you store your 10'' singles? With 7 inches or with LP's? |

I like that Warrior EP. At least I did last time I listened to it. A year, perhaps two years, ago.
I must say I like 7" and 10" EP's better. 12" is for full-lengths. |

Dan,you don't like the heavy riffing of the song "Don't let it show"?I think it is a really cool track.

Awesome! Keep us posted.
The Lamp of Thoth in my opinion is alongside Portrait and Atlantean Kodex the best band to have debuted in the last three years or so. |

I love the LAMP - there last full lengt "Portents" does not have one week track. I found a few tracks of Sing as you slay boring...
The saint vitus cover sounds cool - I love the CR frost & fire cover they did.. i like covers that differ from the originals |

I have the vinyl and the CD re-issue..
I actually found Thomas the Rhymer rather dull and Shub-Niggurath...
but - it is a minor complaint
"Portents" and the "Cauldron" MCD reissue are some of my favorite doom albums of late!!
I want to get a sweatshirt Nightgaunt Graphics - they got designs for those album covers.. Very good wesite with fast services - I got a really cool SLEEP jerusalem jersey from them a while back. |

| I think the CD of Sing as You Slay doesn't really work as a full length. None of the tracks are weak, but it's very one dimensional compared to Portents and doesn't work that well like a full lenght. Which it's not meant to do, the CD is just an EP with a bunch of bonus tracks put in at the end and that' how it needs to be viewed. |

I feel the same way! I just could not articulate it like u did
i still think Thomas is rather "ho hum" ---
Portents has some of the most brilliant lyrics: the Victorian Wizard is pure genius ! It reminds me of a time a took too much mescaline:
- Under the gaslight her gaze reaches for heaven her eyeballs heaving at the roof of her sockets trying to emulate the way the grass seeps through the splintering cracks of the pavement to escape into to the world above; an operating table is now an altar. She understands not the strange names of old Gods and the invocations of other dimensions - only the swift tickle of the knife as she gazes at organs she never knew she had, and marvels distantly at the crimson splendour of her true personality - |
