what about Kronik or Cultus, i liked that ones too...
were they been released on cd or tape only?
and i'm courious about Metailium albums?

woud like to hear Skull too...

Well thanx for reminding me
Kronik is a great thrash hard core band!

Kronik / 92 Endless war - Great technical thrash (mc) English vocals but the album have the same problems with Pentagram's Trail Blazer...
04 Kavga Thrash hardcore with Turkish music influence, darbooka, etc
Ayak song is a great oriental metal sample! Great comeback album! CD can be found easily...

"But the cassette versions aren't produced anymore, just second hand." But I'll check it again.. and I asked for Dr. Skull cassettes. The produces says no more Sad

Metallium is thrash speed band. I ve only mp3. English vocal is not good... And their 2nd album Suffer is deathmetal and I 'm not interested...

And 657 is a great rock metal band, all members are opera artists. And great influence of Islamic music.

And a list for albums and bands

I wrote a review of Nekropsi - Mi Kubbesi for Gibraltar Encyclopaedia or Prog Rock ages ago.

You may check it here: http://www.gepr.net => N => Nekropsi

Maybe not, there was a CD pressing on Nepa which looked very genuine. I've bought copies in the past from Enis from Hammer Music (Reputable Turkish label/distro). Sentinel Steel carried those too, Denis Gulbey would know if they were bootlegs for sure - ask him.

Cultus

Boddhisattva 94 great album, tecnical thrash speed, vocals in English...
Their 2nd album eye is a bit different, core, crossover, but still good
both MC I think...

And for black metal fans we have a well known band called moribund oblivion

My favourite Turkish band is definitely Wyvern! Awesome Heavy Metal with an epic touch...
I also listened to Necropsi that I did not found to be something special if I recall right. I think it was the vocalist that I did not liked that much...

I`ve samples from Behind The Power Tape, and it sounds very good, but can anyone say if there`s chance to get the tape anywhere?

Unholey Cockelin' Crap Dr. SKULL are awesome! Shocked
I'm halfway through the "Wory Zower" tape and it's by far the best Obscure'n'Exotic Metal I've heard in months. Melodic "nwobhm"-bonanza all the way, at their best reminding me of a softer REINCARNATE. Songs like "On The Road", "Wory Zover" and "No Time To Waste" simply slay.

Thank you for the scene report! How about the more extreme metal side? Anything notable?

I strongly recommend you DEATH OATH when it comes to "extreme" Metal. Somewhere between early DEICIDE, MERCILESS, and all of these satanic DM bands from the early 80's.

There are good Black-Metal bands like the ones from the TKM squad, but most so-called Black-Metal bands there are simply muslims playing the demons. Some may say this isn't important, but Black-Metal isn't about worshipping allah (nor jesus nor jehovah of course).

And thanks for the report Mr Blood RED. This info is priceless.
