Hello everybody.

I am in China now looking for some local CD.

Until now I could find:

-BLACK PANTHER (HEI BAO): S/T (recorded between 1990 and 1991, released in Hong Kong in 1992, in China in 1992 and re-released in 2008)
-TANG DINASTY: A dream return to Tang Dinasty (recorded between 1990 and 1991, released in Hong Kong in 1992, in China in 1992 and re-released in 2008)
-TANG DINASTY: Knight of romantic (2008)
-SUFFOCATED: World of confusion (2010) Thrash/death
-TOMAHAWK: Dead city (2001) Thrash/death.
-AK 47: Start off (2006) Nu metal
-VA: China is the soul of rock (compilation with unknown bands except for TANG DINASTY, BLACK PANTHER)
-LARS ERIC MATTSSON: Eternity (chinese edition for chinese market! 3-4 copies available)
-LARS ERIC MATTSSON: Electric voodoo (chinese edition for chinese market! 3-4 copies available)

I was also looking for the following compilation:

-CHINA FIRE 1 (released between 1990 and 1992, there is BLACK PANTHER, TANG DINASTY, RED ARMY and ANODIZED with their only metal/thrash song recorded in 1990)
-SCREAM FOR THE CHINESE ROCK'N'ROLL YESTERDAY (a compilation released a few years ago with old rock hits of the late 80's/early 90's featuring TANG DINASTY, BLACK PANTHER and so on)

Let me know if you're interested in some CD's....unfortunately I haven't a place where to stay. I am in Hohot now but tomorrow I must leave because my brother is going on holiday and I can't find a place where to live unless he allows me to live in his apartment until he comes back. Probably I need to move to some other town not far from here. But I will try to handle orders in a way or other.

Let me know if you need some of the above listed CD.

What are the Black Panther and Ting Dinasty Like?

Are the vocals done in mandarin/cantonese?

By the way, I thought your brother moved back to Italy after the split with Areadeath?

no he just moved to Hohot in Inner Mongolia to keep working as a teacher. I am at his home right now.

Black Panther combine some nwobhm with classical aor/rock and ballads, definitively better than Tang Dinasty. It sounds like american Street Rock/Glam

Tang Dynasty (CD + DVD) ... mmmm I can't describe them, but you can find a lot of blogspot where you can download them (blogspots are banned in china, so I can't open them):

Sign me up for Black Panther if it's complete and in a nice condition.

I think you're looking for the early releases, what about the latest one jnfernal, they are listed as nu metal,is that so?Are they worth checking at all?I'd be definitely interested for their early material.

OK, let's make it more specific then, as Trigger said. Any early releases available?
I think there must be some greek metalheads interested in them, if you can find them in quantity.

about Black Panther/Hei Bao: I can find it, of course, still sealed. It's very easy to find it. I can also find all the 3 Tang Dynasty albums (Dream return to Tang Dynasty, Epic, Knight of Romantic) still sealed. They're quite well distributed.

As for HURD:

There are only 4 music shop in Mongolia, all of them located in Ulan Bator.

I could find only the albums you can see here:

jnfernalworld.blogspot.com

So, the CD 2004 (that is not too heavy, they were experimenting with more soft sounds), the CDR 2005 (that was quite a good return to heavier sound, thouhg mixed here and there with nu sounds, but it still sounds ok) and their live concerts. The Talarkhalin Concert is great.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any other CD. I wrote to them but I never received an answer (as it happened with every mongolian people: they do not talk with foreigners), I know a woman that has a music shop and she knows very well the band members. She said that the earlier CD are totally out of print and they may reprint them if there's some interest.
Unfortunately she can speak only mongolian (as the 99,99% of people in Mongolia, no english and anyway no will to talk with foreigners) but I have her telephone number somewhere.
I will come back to Mongolia next weeks - on the way back to Siberia - but I am not sure I can find those early albums or see them reprinted.

I will try but there are only the last 2 albums available + a couple of DVD

I found a couple of homemade cdr at the black market with a best of/golden hits (not listed in the metal -archives) and it sounded great, with all their previous songs/earliest material. It was pretty cool, good metal with speed moments, hard moments, great riffs. Shame it was just a homemade cdr.

I can not update my blog since I live in China because blogs are banned here. So I can't post images and details of the stuff I can find here. I am in Hohot, Inner Mongolia, but I know another town not far from here that has more music shops and I will pay a visit there in the following days. Here there is only 1 music shop in a town with over 3,5 millions inhabitants !

Anyway, if things go well, I am planning to stop in Siberia, Krasnoyarsk, for some time. Once there I would like to improve my activity and distributing in Europe as many russian cd/dvd I can find. I've seen it's also a quite good moment for re-releases of old bands (Avgust, Gaina, Konsul, Contr-act, Galaktika, Monomax) and I will try to make my friend's home in Krasnoyarsk a base to distribute russian stuff easily than buying them at any russian shop.

So in the near future expect to receive also positive news from Siberia Smile

I will...in any case I will go back to Mongolia next weeks for a while before settling down in Siberia for some time Smile

Once in Ulan Bator I can get some copies of HURD releases...at least the newest ones unless the band decides to dig up some old album. I'll keep you updated.

OK. I'll just remind you that I'm interested mainly in their early stuff (in a reasonable price). One way or another, I wish you a pleasant record hunting! Smile
