If Metal Blade defined the cutting edge of American Metal in the 80's, Noise International can surely be considered their European counterpart. Just a quick glance at their early discography and you'll have the very definition of 80's "Euro-Metal" right there. With the succes of Helloween's "Keeper.."-albums their focus shifted slightly towards more melodic Speed/Power Metal and I guess it's this genre that most people associate them with today. Ironic, considering how they once were the only label that dared to take on the Mighty HELLHAMMER! Some comments about this list: Noise is quite possibly the longest running Metal label around and their output is massive, so for now I've only covered the 150 first releases, which in turn should include their complete 80's catalog bar a handfull of missing titles. They kept unleashing a fair amount of solid material in the early 90's as well, so I'll probably add a year or 3 to this list in the near future. Like many labels at the time, most of their releases were also available on cassette. I haven't bothered with mentioning them unless they were released with their own serial number. Same thing with a couple of CD- and pic-disc editions.
